My 28” #3 contour barrel is hand-lapped, free-floated and cut-rifled to extract top velocities and energy from .30-378 Weatherby Magnum, .338 Lapua Magnum and .338-378 Weatherby Magnum chamberings. Now let’s go.

I purchased a Weatherby Mk V Tacmark in 338 Lapua last Fall, and have been working up loads at our range over the Winter. I am absolutely astounded, and 101% satisfied, with the quality of workmanship and performance of this rifle. It will consistently shoot 1/2-MOA out to 400 yds with factory (Lapua) ammo or my best handloads. The rifle is heavy enough, and with the brake, to make recoil… tolerable. The only, minor, complaint I might have is that the sling swivels provided are a bit weak for those of us who routinely use a shooting sling, and I could have lived with a slightly heavier barrel. As a side note, Weatherby Customer Service is also top notch. I sent in a couple minor questions, and had a complete, concise and friendly answer by the same afternoon. Bravo Weatherby! And, welcome to Wyoming!
